“Slumdog Millionaire” finally, has bagged the Academy Awards Best Picture of the Year. This movie is about a young man coming from the slums of Mumbai who became instantly famous when he appeared on the Indian version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire “ and exceeded the people’s expectations. This eventually aroused the suspicions of the game show host and the law enforcement officials. This story is an adaptation from the novel Q & A by the Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup that would eventually become a movie titled”Slumdog Millionaire”

“Slumdog Millionaire”, by all accounts, especially now that it has on its fold the coveted Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director along with six other Academy Awards on February 22, 2009, would be on its path to become one of the most highly praised movie depicting the present day life in India, particularly Mumbai.
